国光帮帮忙

it’s just a terrible thing to hear all 3 of them are involved with drugs.

okay, i lied about having nothing to do, but recently i was chasing…or rather watching a taiwan variety show named “国光帮帮忙”, it’s actually kinda like having an interview with those stars all within Taiwan except that it’s interviewed in a very causal and humorous way.

I really loved Taiwan variety shows alot, since im pretty lucky to have the cable tv, im being exposed to alot of taiwan debate shows that you never see a slightest chance of them bringing in to our local tv. loved watching “大学生了没?”,”今晚哪里有问题?”and not forgetting “台湾大闷锅”(their way of handling political stuffs just never fails to make me in stitches)

but then anyways, since everyone had been scratching their heads on what does my current nick means “宁可当众出丑,也不要冷屁攻心!”…actually, it comes right out from 国光帮帮忙.

basically, in that episode of 国光帮帮忙(whereby my nick comes from) a theatre director and veteran actor was interviewed. In the process, the director himself was describing the ups and downs of his life he had come across and how he managed to beat all odds and emerged as a theatre of his own and successfully maintained his company for 20 years.

In the midst of it he was talking about setting up a “Crying Project”(kinda like a direct translation if you were to asked me.lol) he was saying :

“In life, people slog hard and work hard just to earn for a living and so that they have money to put in the bank for further use, what I want to emphasize is that you can save your money inside the bank but do not ever “save” your tears in it as well.”

“Do not ever endure any forms of anger or hatred in yourself, thrash it all out and settle your unhappiness on the very day you have them. When are you going to endure that? 1 week? 5 years? or even 20 years? Soon enough you will find yourself getting badly injured psychologically and it’s not even worth a single bit at all.”

and that’s how the 宁可当众出丑,也不要冷屁攻心!comes about. The director said that there are 2 things that you shouldnt endure and that is anger and as well as….erm…fart. =x In Chinese, we have a sentence that goes like this “有话就说,有屁就放” which means to thrash everything out, your unhappiness, your anger or any form of displeasure and those are illustrated as well..fart. something like that and well…it’s kinda crude sentence, so never ever say in front of your desired one okay? haha.

now, that should settle any confusion and i have explained anything…if you still dont understand, my friends….well…what can i say…just treat that line of sentence as a awfully random one…but anyways, im having that sentence etched in my mind…as to remind me to pass every day a happy one. heh.
